Hi! I’m Ashley and thank you for being here. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I am committed to making counselling an accessible and collaborative process. I believe that everyone is the expert of their own life and has the capacity to grow, heal, and create meaningful change. Life has its ups and downs, and there are times when we may no longer feel like ourselves, when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or even trapped by our circumstances. I understand that reaching out for support can feel intimidating, and my goal is to create a safe and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. Together, we will explore your experiences at your pace, honour your strengths, and work collaboratively towards your goals.
My passion for the counselling field was sparked by my experience working in the criminal justice system, which has provided me with insight into the impact that violent crime can have on individuals, their families, and the community, and how homelessness, substance use, and mental health challenges can sometimes intersect with the justice system. These experiences deepened my understanding of trauma and resilience and strengthened my commitment to approaching each person with respect, empathy, and curiosity. I carry these values into my work by fostering a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences, reconnect with their inner strengths, and confidently navigate their path toward healing and growth.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, person-centred, and integrative, drawing on several modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and narrative therapy, to meet each client’s unique needs.
My approach is rooted in respect, empathy, and collaboration. I strive to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust and authenticity while supporting clients’ autonomy as they navigate their individual journey.
I look forward to working with all individuals who feel aligned with my services, including those navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, negative body-image, or seeking support working towards their personal goals. I welcome clients of all cultural, gender, and sexual identities, and strive to provide a safe and inclusive space.

Everyone comes to counselling with different goals, and each person may take something unique away from their sessions. Along the way, you might notice yourself becoming more self-aware, feeling more confident and accepting of yourself, and developing new strategies to cope with life’s challenges.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking with my dog, working out, watching baseball, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen!
