Sometimes life brings challenges that feel overwhelming, confusing, or isolating, and it can be difficult to navigate them on your own. I believe that every person’s journey is deeply unique, and that with support, insight, and compassion, it is possible to find greater clarity, resilience, and meaningful change. My role as a counsellor-in-training is to walk alongside you in a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences with openness, curiosity, and care.

I am passionate about supporting individuals through a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and interpersonal difficulties. I am committed to creating a therapeutic environment that feels warm, collaborative, and culturally humble, where your experiences are honoured and your strengths are recognized. My hope is that clients feel supported in understanding themselves more deeply and empowered to move toward goals that feel meaningful and authentic to them.

My journey into counselling has been shaped by both personal and professional experiences across clinical, community, and cross-cultural settings. As someone who has navigated major life transitions and cultural adjustment, I have seen firsthand how identity, belonging, and environment can impact emotional well-being. Working with individuals facing psychological distress, migration-related stress, and systemic barriers has reinforced my belief in the importance of culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. I value empathy, humility, and ethical practice, and I am continually inspired by the strength people show when given a safe and supportive space to explore their experiences.

My Therapeutic Approach

My work is grounded in a collaborative and client-centred approach. I work from an integrative perspective, tailoring our work to your needs using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), and Emotion-Focused strategies. My practice is trauma-informed and strength-based, focusing on your resilience and capacity for growth.

Therapy with me is not about quick solutions, but about developing insight, emotional awareness, coping skills, and self-understanding in a way that feels manageable and meaningful to you.

My work is guided by the values of empathy, cultural humility, and collaboration. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where we can navigate challenges together. I strive to foster an environment where all parts of your identity are welcomed. By combining evidence-based tools with genuine connection, I aim to help you build resilience and move toward meaningful change.

Population that I prefer working with

I work with individuals ages 12 and older, including youth, students, and adults, who are navigating depression, stress, life transitions, cultural adjustment, or questions of self-worth and identity. I support those dealing with ongoing worry, relationship patterns, or emotional regulation, and I welcome anyone who feels that my approach may be a good fit for their needs..
