Meet

Eric Jones

Hi there! My name is Eric and I was born and raised in Vancouver. Starting by receiving my BA in Psychology, I am currently pursuing my master’s in counselling psychology at Yorkville University, excitedly finishing my final stages of training with the Counselling for All organization.

My path into this work is deeply personal. Like many, I have faced my own mental health struggles, and it was through navigating those challenging chapters of my life that I discovered the power of a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space. Those experiences fueled a passion in me to ensure others don't have to carry their burdens alone. They shaped my commitment to being a grounded, empathetic companion for those navigating their own internal storms.

My Therapeutic Approach

I provide a supportive, collaborative environment with an approach rooted in integrative and person-centered exploration. I emphasize holding a tutorial stance - the belief that you are the expert of your own life.

I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Existentialism to help you move toward a life of meaning even in the face of suffering. I also incorporate elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Mindfulness-based practices, providing a space where we can explore different "parts" of your experience with compassion rather than judgment.

Population that I prefer working with

I feel especially called to work with later adolescents and adults (ages 16 and up). I offer a space for individuals looking to build a more resilient relationship with their mental health, whether that involves navigating everyday stress, anxiety, burnout, and significant life transitions, overcoming patterns of avoidance or exploring questions about purpose and belonging. I also welcome working with anyone who feels aligned with my approach and is seeking a dedicated partner in their healing journey.
