Hello, I'm Jenna

Hi and welcome! My approach to counselling is grounded in trust, compassion, and connection. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and comfortable exploring whatever may be coming up for you.

Whether you are new to counselling or looking for a fresh perspective, I am here to support you in moving toward healing, growth, and greater self-discovery.

I have always been curious about people and the experiences that shape who they become. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. I also recognize that our struggles do not happen in isolation. They are often influenced by our relationships, identities, early experiences, and the world around us.

I am particularly passionate about supporting young adults and adults navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, or questions about who they are and who they would like to become.

In our work together, clients experience me as

Compassionate · Open · Authentic · Curious · Supportive

My therapeutic approach

My approach is integrative and client-centred. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, mindfulness, and mind-body practices.

I also incorporate a humanistic perspective, exploring how early experiences, emotions, relationships, and attachment patterns may influence present-day behaviours. Therapy is tailored to your individual needs, with a focus on recognizing your strengths and developing practical tools for growth.

I see counselling as a collaborative process. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you deepen your understanding and feel more connected to yourself.

Working with me, you would learn to:

  • Better understand yourself and your patterns
  • Approach yourself with greater compassion
  • Build confidence in your choices and abilities
  • Develop practical coping and emotional-regulation skills
  • Strengthen resilience during periods of change
  • Feel more connected to yourself and your needs

Training & professional development

  • Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, in progress
  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of Victoria
  • Immigrant and Refugee Mental Health course
  • Addiction Treatment: Clinical Skills for Healthcare Providers Certificate, Yale University
  • Suicide Prevention Certificate, Wesleyan University
