(Jenn)

Sometimes we just need a safe place to share our thoughts, experiences, and challenges with someone we trust. Everyone’s journey is unique, and even through struggles, there is opportunity for growth and healing. I strive to create a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard and supported. I am here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, tools, and insight as you navigate life’s challenges and move toward your goals.

I am a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) practicum student at Yorkville University, with a background in education and extensive experience supporting children, youth, and families. I am especially passionate about working with parents to build confidence, develop effective parenting strategies, and support them in understanding and navigating the needs of neurodivergent children.

My journey into counselling has been shaped by my work across education, social services, and mental health supports for children, youth, and families. These experiences have shown me the importance of being heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. I value empathy, curiosity, and collaboration, and I am committed to empowering clients to feel more confident, capable, and understood in their lives.

My Therapeutic Approach

I use an integrative and trauma-informed approach, combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused strategies, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic-informed techniques. My work emphasizes building insight, self-awareness, and practical skills that clients can use in everyday life.

I value empathy, authenticity, and collaboration in my work with clients. I strive to create a space where individuals feel safe, respected, and free from judgment, while also feeling supported and empowered. I approach each client with curiosity and respect for their lived experience, and I prioritize fostering self-understanding, connection, and growth.

Population that I prefer working with

I feel especially drawn to working with children, youth, and young adults, as well as supporting parents-particularly those navigating the challenges of raising neurodivergent children. I welcome working with anyone who feels aligned with my approach.
