Hello there! I’m Katie, and I’m currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and am deeply passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their sense of self.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, navigating change, or simply wanting to understand yourself better.
In my practice, I bring a deep appreciation for the complexity of life roles, relationships, and emotional experiences. My role as a parent has shaped my practice by strengthening my understanding of and ability to hold space for both the challenges and the meaningful moments that come with caring for others while also trying to care for yourself.
I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Together, we can explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and move toward meaningful and sustainable change at a pace that feels right for you.
I take an integrative, client-centred approach to therapy, grounded in a holistic understanding of each person’s unique experiences. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and other strength-based and relational frameworks, to best support your individual needs.
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor our work together based on your goals, preferences, and lived experiences. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to collaborate with you in a way that feels supportive and empowering.
My approach is grounded in empathy and authenticity, as I believe that feeling seen and understood is a key part of the healing process.
I welcome working with individuals and couples who feel aligned with my approach, including those navigating a range of experiences such as stress, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, anxiety, depression, parenting-related stressors, relationship concerns, and personal growth.
I am committed to creating a safe space for clients of all backgrounds and life experiences.
(Please note: Clients are required to be 10 years of age or older.)

Outside of counselling, I enjoy exploring all things health and wellness and am always curious to learn more. I love a good cup of coffee and getting lost in a great novel. The beach is my happy place, and I enjoy spending time in nature, especially hiking and biking.
