Hello, I'm Melanie

After more than a decade in the business and professional world, I chose to pursue a new path in counselling. My experience supporting people through complex, high-pressure situations showed me the importance of feeling genuinely heard and respected.

I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and personal setbacks. I also have a strong interest in working with neurodivergent individuals, including people with autism and dual diagnoses.

My goal is to help you build a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship where you can explore your experiences, recognize your strengths, and move toward meaningful change that aligns with your values.

In our work together, clients experience me as

Calm · Kind · Respectful · Curious · Supportive

My therapeutic approach

My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally respectful, and inclusive. I strive to create a space that feels safe, calm, and free from judgment.

Our work begins by meeting you where you are. Together, we can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns while building confidence, insight, and practical tools at a pace that feels right for you.

Working with me, you would learn to:

  • Gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and patterns
  • Develop greater self-compassion
  • Feel more grounded and connected to yourself
  • Build confidence in your ability to navigate challenges
  • Develop practical tools for anxiety, stress, and life transitions
  • Move toward change that feels meaningful and aligned with your values

Training & professional development

  • Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, in progress
  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Science
  • Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying
  • Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, Student Member
  • 40-hour Registered Behaviour Technician training
  • 36-hour Specialized Crisis Responder training

Fun Facts

Outside of counselling, I enjoy yoga and mindfulness practices. They help me remain grounded and present, which is something I also bring into the therapeutic space.
