You might be facing a challenge in life and feeling unsure about how to move forward. You may find yourself caught in cycles of worry or stress, or noticing patterns that feel hard to change, leaving you feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. Maybe there is a part of you that wants to slow down and turn inward, to do deeper inner work, to heal, and to create meaningful change.
At times, this can feel like a lot to carry, especially when you’re holding it on your own. You don’t have to go through it alone.
My name is Muskaan, and I am a student therapist completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I am passionate about supporting people on their personal journeys by helping them feel understood, encouraged, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space with a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach. I am inspired by the change and growth that can occur when you make space for your thoughts and emotions and explore the patterns and meanings behind them.
My work in the mental health field has allowed me to witness the impact of being present with someone, listening without judgment, and offering a space where they feel safe to share. I have supported women facing challenges such as homelessness, bullying, and family dysfunction, which has shaped my understanding of complex life experiences.
My background as a teacher has strengthened my ability to be emotionally attuned and to create a warm, empathetic environment. As a South Asian therapist, I am committed to providing culturally responsive care and understanding the unique experiences of individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds. I aim to support individuals in finding a sense of ease within their hardships through a holistic, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed approach.
I use a person-centred, grounded, and collaborative approach, working with you on your therapeutic goals. This will be unique for each client and draw from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
I support you on your journey with a compassionate, empowering, and strengths-based approach. My work is guided by respect for you and your experiences, creating a safe space, and belief in your capacity for healing, change and growth. I value curiosity, collaboration, and authenticity as I support you in building awareness, connection, and self-compassion.
I work with adults navigating a range of challenges. This can include anxiety, depression, stress-management, women’s issues, cultural pressures, interpersonal challenges, dysfunctional families and life transitions.
