Hi, I’m Urooj Khan, an associate practicum therapist at Counselling for All. I support individuals, teens, young adults, couples, and families who are navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Many clients seek therapy while experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or the impact of past or ongoing trauma. You may feel stuck, unsettled, or unsure about your next steps — and that’s completely okay.
My approach is structured, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I integrate Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness-based practices to help bring clarity, emotional regulation, and practical coping strategies to what feels overwhelming. I aim to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
I have experience working with a diverse client population, including clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), ADHD, and stress related to relationships and major life transitions. I also work with individuals impacted by violence against women and interpersonal trauma, and I provide affirming, culturally humble care for LGBTQ+ clients.
Therapy with me is collaborative and goal-oriented. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify what you would like to move toward, and build skills to support emotional resilience and overall well-being.
I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT/EFIT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Strength-Based Therapy, and the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy to help clients build insight, resilience, and practical coping strategies.
I bring a calm and empathetic presence, creating an environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. My ability to connect authentically helps foster trust and collaboration, allowing clients to explore challenges and grow. I aim to create a warm, collaborative environment where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal. What inspires me most is witnessing the strength and resilience that surface when people begin to trust themselves and their ability to change.
I welcome working with youth, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. I am committed to cultural competency and enjoy supporting clients from immigrant communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, First Nations peoples, and those with complex needs, fostering an environment of understanding, growth, and empowerment.

Through our work together, clients often develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and self-compassion. They learn practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and trauma, while building confidence and a deeper sense of balance in their daily lives.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University, a Master's in Humanities, and a Diploma in Addiction Studies. I am also a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and I am committed to ongoing professional development to provide the highest standard of care to my clients
I enjoy painting, spending time in nature, and feeling grounded near water and trees. I love animals—especially horses—and I’m a proud cat mom to two adorable cats who bring me comfort and joy. I also enjoy unwinding with a good TV show.
